Dakota Royal Charity Draft Horse Show
Dakota Royal Charity Draft Horse Show hosts six-horse hitches at Swiftel Center. The top six-horse hitches from across the country will enjoy some great South Dakota hospitality when they trot into the show ring to compete in the only SD qualifying show for the North American Classic Six-Horse Hitch Series competition at the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD. More than 60+ one-ton draft horses in the ring at once makes the Dakota Royal Charity Draft Horse Show a real BIG DEAL for South Dakota.
Belgian, Percheron, Shire, and Clydesdale draft horse breeds will be coming to the Saturday and Sunday six-horse hitch competitions. This SD show is unique by starting with the six-horse hitch competition at 1pm daily, as its first class, so don’t be late! Doors open at 11am. Visit the horses in the barns 11am-Noon or after the show! Additional hitch classes of fours, unicorns, teams, carts, ladies and youth, along with farm team contests, will provide plenty of show ring action. Be sure to visit the barns after each show to meet the gentle giant draft horses and their drivers.
Tickets will be available at the Swiftel Center in Brookings, SD or at the door the day of the show. With free parking, AC comfort, stadium seating and an elevator, a multigeneration family afternoon is easy.
