4th Annual 4-H Little Run on the Prairie
Event Navigation

The Little Run on the Prairie 5K is a trail run through the historic and pristine Paynes Prairie. It is a community and family orientated event, which is organized through a teen/adult partnership. Alachua County 4-H in an effort with the Florida Food Smart Family Grant is offering a run club in preparation for the event and is impacting over 500 youth with 10 hours of healthy living “learn by doing” teaching throughout the year. This event is the capstone event for our healthy living 4-H initiative in Alachua County. The money raised through the event goes towards 4-H summer camp scholarships for special interest, residential and county day camps. Last year, healthy living was promoted in each summer camp event.
After the race, there will be a presentation on healthy living. Prizes, snacks, T-shirt, and entry to the park are all included with the $25.00 (adult) $15.00 (youth) entry fee. Must register by November 17 to guarantee a T-shirt.
To register visit active.com and search for Little Run on the Prairie or contact Amanda Morgan, 4-H Agent, at amorgan@alachuacounty.us or 352-955-2402.
