HUNTINGTON, Ind. — On Wednesday, April 17, Huntington University will host the Farm Journal Foundation’s panel discussion on global food security with Senator Todd Young.
Among the panelists for the discussion will be Senator Young, Kip Tom of Tom Farms, Kassi Tom Rowland of Tom Farms and the Farm Journal Foundation, and Dr. Sherilyn Emberton of Huntington University. Panelists will discuss ways the Global Security Act funds United States global food security and international agricultural research. The panel will also discuss the moral imperative of making strides in agriculture to reduce world hunger and poverty, particularly from a Christian moral perspective.
This panel discussion will take place in the upper level of Huntington University’s Habecker Dining Commons from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and is free and open to the public. The event will include a buffet lunch. To RSVP, please visit www.huntington.edu/FarmJournalEvent.
