COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. — As horse owners, you face many challenges caring for healthy horses and being good stewards of your land. Luckily, environmental stewardship and horse health go hand in hand.
Join Penn State Extension Equine Educator Laura Kenny for a Pasture Walk to tour a local farm and discuss ways to improve equine and environmental health on your horse farm by thinking about soil health, pasture and grazing management, weed control and erosion control. Be prepared for hands-on activities in pastures to sharpen your forage and weed ID skills, learn to take soil samples and evaluate pastures.
