TRENTON, N.J. — The New Jersey Equine Advisory Board will hold its 61st annual Breeders’ Luncheon on Sunday at O’Connor’s American Bar and Grille in Eastampton.
The New Jersey equine community will celebrate the state’s best in the equine field with Superior Achievement awards being presented as well as awards for Standardbred of the Year, Thoroughbred of the Year, Standardbred Breeder of the Year, Sara Dubinin Scholarship, New Jersey Agricultural Achievement Award and the Governor’s Trophy for the 2017 Horseperson of the Year.
New Jersey Sire Stakes will also present its Sire Stakes Horse of the Year Award.
In addition, the winner of the New Jersey Equestrian Contest will be announced at the event. Candidates must be between the ages of 15 and 19, represent an organization that is a member of the New Jersey Equine Advisory Board and be well-versed in one or more phases of the horse industry. The winner will be chosen based on his or her ability to communicate and knowledge of horses.
The 61st Annual New Jersey Bred Equine Breeders Awards Luncheon will take place 1 p.m. on Sunday at O’Connor’s Bar and Grille, 1383 Monmouth Rd., Eastampton Township, NJ 08020.
