COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. — EPA’s Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting Initial Training — The federal Renovation Repair & Painting Rule requires that anyone who is paid to perform work that disturbs paint in housing and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 be trained and certified as a renovator.
A one-day training, sponsored by The Worker Institute at Cornell University and Cooperative Extension, will offer this eight-hour class on May 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Cooperative Extension Schoharie and Otsego Counties Education Center in Cooperstown. There will be a one-hour break for lunch (on your own or bring a bag lunch). There is no cost to attend but pre-registration is required due to a class-size limit of eight registrants.
