CARROLLTON, Ohio — The Eastern Ohio Grazing Council will host a pasture walk on Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. at Spring Valley Stock Farms, near Mt. Pleasant, OH 43939. Please use Mt. Pleasant, OH 43939 in your GPS or mapping program and follow the signs to the farm location just outside of Mt. Pleasant on County Rd 1.
Clint Finney and his family operate Spring Valley Stock Farms in Jefferson County — a diversified operation which includes beef cattle, goats, hogs, sheep, poultry and hay. All grazing animals are on a rotation with most being moved at least daily.

Pasture walks are normally held on the fourth Thursday of the month April through October on various farms throughout Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Stark and Tuscarawas counties. In January, February and March, we host winter workshops. Anyone interested in the conservation of our soil and water through growing and grazing forages is encouraged to attend the monthly meetings.
