ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The first step in controlling pests of ornamental shrubs and trees is accurate identification of the problem. Penn State Extension is offering an Entomology Short Course for landscape professionals and others who are interested in learning to be better at insect and arthropod identification and developing solutions for pest control. The two-day event qualifies for Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture pesticide applicator license recertification credits and International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) credits. The event will be held at the Lehigh County Agriculture Center, 4183 Dorney Park Road, Allentown, PA 18104.
This event is open to anyone interested in learning more about identification and control of insects and other arthropods. Bring your questions and join us for discussions on identification and management tactics.
The cost for the event is $65 which includes both days of instruction. Credits are assigned by day; registrants are not required to participate in both days for credits. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required by December 6, 2021.
