CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Congress will vote on H.R. 6784, the Manage our Wolves Act, this week. As a western state greatly impacted by endangered species, this reform is vital to Colorado farmers and ranchers.
This important legislation would require the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to de-list populations of gray wolves in specific areas including the Western Great Lakes and Wyoming. Additionally, this legislation would require the department to promulgate a rule to de-list all wolves in the Lower 48 (within 60 days), excluding the Mexican gray wolf subspecies.
