DUNMORE, Pa. — Penn State Extension’s Leadership Network will be hosting an Emerging Leaders in Agriculture Leadership Professional Development event on Thursday, November 14, 2019. The event will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Dawson Building on the Penn State Scranton Campus in Dunmore, PA. This workshop is for any young or new farmer, rancher, agricultural worker or agribusiness employee looking for quality leadership professional development. The training topics will include conflict resolution, trust, mindfulness, and team performance.
Refreshments will be provided. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with other agricultural professionals. At the workshop, participants will learn effective conflict management skills to minimize the lingering effects of conflict in their respective organizations; trust-based communication strategies to help assimilate a culture of trust with partners and collaborators; mindfulness practices to help improve well-being, relationships, and the work atmosphere; and practical skills to promote powerful team performance.
