KEWAUNEE and GREENWOOD, Wis. — The Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) Effective Leadership Workshop is held exclusive for dairy farmers and is focused on perfecting one’s ability to enhance clear communication and minimize conflict when working with fellow farm employees, family members, and when engaging with consumers.

The workshop will be presented on-farm from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., presented in two locations:

  • Thu., Feb. 1: Pagel’s Ponderosa Dairy, N4893 County Rd. C, Kewaunee, Wis. (Kewaunee County)
  • Fri., Feb. 2: Boon Farms, N6634 State Hwy 73, Greenwood, Wis. (Clark County)

Attendees will hone in on interpersonal communication, active listening, and conflict management skills.  They will benefit greatly as they put their new skills to use during team meetings, negotiating with farm suppliers, and in their personal interactions and beyond.

The Workshop expert trainer, Renea Heinrich, is a skilled Counselor at MorganMyers, a strategic communications firm that builds, protects and promotes great brands.  With a mission to serve agriculture, Renea brings a great deal of expertise.  As part of her work, Renea leads the Illinois Farm Families account team in managing a farmer image-building campaign targeted at Chicago consumers.

During the workshop, Renea will walk attendees through:

  • effective communication principles
  • asking verse telling
  • power of a conversation opener
  • uncovering real motivations
  • effectively handling questions
  • conflict management techniques
