DILLSBURG, Pa. — Private and commercial pesticide applicators can get their recertification by attending an agronomic pesticide update workshop offered by Penn State Extension and sponsored by Ag Leader.
The update will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 23 and at Haar’s Drive-In, 185 Logan Rd., Dillsburg, PA 17019. Doors open at 6:15pm, and participants are encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes early, if possible. Presentations will include annual Dicamba training from Bayer, What’s New in Pest Management from Extension Specialists, and Pollinators and Pesticides, for a total of two core and two private/category 01 credits.
Pennsylvania and CDC COVID-19 safety guidelines will be enforced to mitigate risk to event staff and participants, including physical distancing, mask wearing outside of cars, encouraging participants to stay inside their cars, and procedures for reducing the number of people at congregation points. Restroom facilities will not be available, so please plan accordingly.
The cost of the two-hour update is $10. Pre-registration is required by February 22, and registration is capped at 240 vehicles or 300 individuals. No walk-in registration will be allowed.
