LOUDON, N.H. — The Draft Animal-Power Network (DAPNet) is pleased to announce the return of the Draft Animal-Power Field Days this coming fall. After not being able to gather for the event last year, DAPNet is excited to announce Field Days will be held on October 2nd and 3rd at Sanborn Mills Farm in Loudon, New Hampshire. The event will offer many activities and highlights including workshops, demonstrations, round-table discussions and a raffle. The event is a great educational and networking opportunity for a person of any level of interest in animal-power. The event attracts a variety of animal-power supporters each year including farmers, loggers, gardeners, foresters, educators. Mark your calendars!
DAPNet President John Smolinsky shared that the organization is looking forward to the event saying, “We are very excited to get together with everyone at the 2021 Field Days. It is long overdue.”
Sanborn Mills Farm is a working draft animal-powered farm that seeks to sustain and teach traditional farming and craft skills, and to be a good steward of its agricultural landscape for social, environmental, and economic benefits. Apart from the farm, Sanborn Mills features a working water-powered saw mill and grist mill that date to the 19th century and extensive gardens. Sanborn offers tours, farming and craft workshops, and other events throughout the year.
