CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The “Don’t Get Ticked!” Workshop will be held May 23, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:45 pm at the Cornell Cooperative Extension office, 480 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
The number of people and pets infected with tick-borne diseases continues to increase in the Finger Lakes area and elsewhere in New York State. Come get the facts on what you can do to reduce your exposure to ticks and tick-borne diseases.
Lynn Braband, Sr. Extension Associate, Cornell University, Integrated Pest Management will provide information on several different ticks including tick ID and biology, associated diseases, avoidance/control measures and how to properly remove a tick. Veterinarian, Dr. Suzanne Apgar, will address Lyme Disease and your pets, “What You Need To Know!”
