DIXON SPRINGS, Ill. — The annual Beef Field Day at the University of Illinois Dixon Springs Agricultural Center (DSAC) will be on Tuesday, July 31. The program will focus on beef cattle research conducted at Dixon Springs.
A variety of topics will be presented this year include: summer grazing management considerations and alternative feeding strategies by Travis Meteer (Illinois Extension Educator), discussion of the I-BELIEF undergraduate training grant by Josh McCann (Beef Cattle Nutritionist, University of Illinois), and short presentations from the six I-BELIEF Fellows that work at DSAC, Orr Beef Research Center, and campus.
The program will start at 5 p.m. and concludes with a complimentary dinner prepared by the Shawnee Beef Association. There is no charge to attend the Beef Field Day; however, for an accurate food count please pre-register by Friday, July 27.
