BARNESVILLE, Ohio — The Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America presented the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to Darol Dickinson and the Dickinson Cattle Co. of Barnesville, Ohio, at the annual awards banquet in Fort Worth, Texas.

The award was established to acknowledge one person each year who has made lifetime contributions to the breed and breed improvement. The Dickinson family has raised registered Texas Longhorns for over 50 years and have developed many of the major sires in the industry. They are also a leader in genetic export of embryos and semen.

Darol Dickinson, who could not be in attendance, was thankful for the award.

“Thank you to all the members who voted for Dickinson Cattle Co, LLC, and our family,” he said. “We are just doing things we like, with people we like. How hard can that be?”
