Rainfall again during the reporting period slowed the remaining harvest. Most soybeans are done with exception of the double crop soybeans in some areas. Apple harvest has concluded. Wheat that was planted early has emerged and is sequestrating nutrients well. Late planted wheat has emerged but will not grow much with the cooler soil temperatures. Soil temperatures dropped at least 8 degrees F during the reporting period. Pasture conditions that were already less than the best will not improve at this point as little growth will occur with the cooler temperatures. Many producers of livestock have been feeding hay for a number of weeks into months.
