MANCHESTER, Iowa — The Delaware County Master Gardeners will hold their Perennial Plant Sale on Saturday May 11th at the Quonset Building on the Delaware County Fairgrounds. The sale will begin at 9:00 a.m., please plan to arrive early as plants sell out quickly. There will be no early start to the sale, plants will be sold first come, first serve. The cost is $3.00 per plant. There will be plants for sun and plants for shade available. Delaware County Master Gardeners will also be around to answer your lawn and garden questions!
Some of the perennial varieties that may be available include: hollyhocks, columbine, red sedum, tall sedum, vinca vine, hybrid lilies, day liandlies-stella de’ Oro, great shade plants such as ferns, bugleweed-ajuga, monarda-bee balm, astilbe, hostas and rhubarb. Also available will be many types of iris, including Dwarf iris, phlox, bleeding heart, veronica, globe thistle and much more!
