ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — The Beef Leaders Institute is a premier leadership experience for American Angus Association® members, 25-45 years old. It provides a look into the entire beef supply chain, while enhancing participant knowledge of the Association and providing an opportunity for participants to strengthen their leadership skills. Applications are due by Feb. 15. Click here to apply online.
“BLI is a great way for industry leaders to learn more about all segments of the beef industry,” said Caitlyn Brandt, Association events coordinator. “Attendees will walk away stronger, more effective leaders who will help the Angus breed and beef industry now and in the future.”
Thanks to generous support from the Angus Foundation and Certified Angus Beef LLC, BLI offers producers a chance to tour all facets of the beef production line. With a trip to the Association and tours to feedlots, harvesting and packing plants and industry leading genomic companies, Angus cattlemen and women receive elite hands-on learning and insight into quality cattle production.
The Association will provide transportation during BLI, as well as lodging, meals and materials. The attendees will be responsible for their round-trip transportation between their home to Kansas City (if flying) or Saint Joseph (if driving), and their departure to home from Cleveland, Ohio, (if flying) or Kansas City to get the vehicle at the American Angus Association. Transportation from the Kansas City airport on both June 16 and June 21 will be provided.
Please contact the Association’s events and education department at 816-383-5100 for more information. Applications are available online, and you can learn more about the BLI experience at www.angus.org.
