LOUDON, N.H. — The Draft Animal Power Network (DAPNet) is pleased to announce its 2022 Field Days coming this fall! This year’s Field Days will be September 30th – October 2nd at Sanborn Mills Farm in Loudon, New Hampshire. Each day features intensive, hands-on workshops on various topics involved in draft animal power. Each year the Field Days offers educational and networking opportunities for draft animal workers. On Friday September 30, 2022, the first day of the 2022 Field Days, we will be offering the following full day, intensive workshops:
- Introduction to Driving Draft Animals
- Farming – Field Work to Farm Chores
- Logging and Forestry with Draft Animal Power
Sanborn Mills Farm is a working farm that seeks to sustain and teach traditional farming and craft skills, and be a good steward of its agricultural landscape for social, environmental, and economic benefits. Apart from the farm, Sanborn Mills features water-powered saw mill and grist mill that date to the 19th century and extensive gardens. Sanborn offers tours, farming and craft workshops, and other events throughout the year.
