JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri Dairy Scholars Scholarship Program was created to support students pursuing careers in the dairy industry. Students may qualify for up to $5,000 in scholarships if they are enrolled in a two-year or four-year Missouri college and work on a dairy farm or have a dairy-related internship. Students must also make a commitment to work in Missouri’s agriculture industry as a condition of receiving the scholarship.
Applications opened on Jan. 16, 2018, and close on March 16, 2018. This year, $40,000 will be awarded.
Scholarships will be selected on a competitive basis. Each application will be evaluated and rated using the following criteria:
- Agriculture-related degree
- Dairy-related work experience
- Academic achievement and year in school
- Resume and letters of recommendation
- Future career plans
