JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority (MASBDA) and the Missouri Department of Agriculture are pleased to announce that 14 college students pursuing a career in agriculture are recipients of a $5,000 Missouri Dairy Scholars scholarship. As part of their scholarship, recipients must complete a dairy-related internship and commit to working in the ag industry in Missouri for at least two years after graduation.
The scholarships were awarded in two different application rounds, one in December 2016 and one in March 2017.
The 2016 scholarship recipients are Terri Atteberry, Conway, Mo.; Madelaine Giebler, Neosho, Mo.; Hannah Estes, Rosebud, Mo.; Iris Wormington, Monett, Mo.; and Grant Voelker, Perryville, Mo.
The 2017 scholarship recipients are Julie Choate, Pleasant Hope, Mo.; Derrek Hardy, Browning Mo.; Jacob Wilshusen, Columbia, Mo.; Brent Farrell, Troy, Mo.; Austin Moreland, Harrisonville, Mo.; Blake Moreland, Harrisonville, Mo.; Zachary Gregory, Houston, Mo.; Kathleen Wantland, Niangua, Mo.; and Mallory Bell, Liberty, Mo.
