LEESPORT, Pa. — The Penn State Extension Dairy Team will begin a new season of Dairy Management Monday webinars, offering practical knowledge that can be applied to your dairy or other business enterprise. The series offers information on supporting your workforce, communicating with Hispanic workers, financial information and breeding and feeding information — all designed to improve profitability and effectiveness.
The series, offered once monthly through April 2019, begins on Sept. 24 with a presentation by Lisa Holden on workforce development, titled “Workforce Focus: Don’t drift … manage!”
Each of the webinars begins at 1 p.m. EST and concludes at 2 p.m. Webinars in this series are designed for dairy producers, their employees and advisors and includes presentations on a variety of topics important to the management of the dairy farm.
