ALBANY — The Watershed Agricultural Committee (WAC) has partnered with New York Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to bring focused conservation program funding to the region. The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) uses partnerships to coordinate and target resources to address regional conservation goals.
The East of the Hudson RCPP partnership announces February 1, 2021 as the application cutoff date for targeted conservation projects through the NRCS Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) in the East of the Hudson focus area for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021. All applications are competitive and are ranked based on locally identified resource priorities and the overall benefit to the environment.
This special funding will be used to implement practices to address localized priority resource concerns. The WAC and NRCS office will work together to provide assistance to producers in the project area in developing and implementing conservation practices.
