PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. — Operating agreements and the transfer of management are two topics that may be overlooked as people first begin farming together. Whether the partnership is with family members or non-related parties, having written plans for operations and management provides a strong base for a sustainable business. Following a written agreement helps when things are going well and when things get difficult.
University of Wisconsin-Extension and the UW Center for Dairy Profitability will host “Cultivating Your Farm Business’s Future” farm succession meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at the Crawford County UW-Extension Office, 225 N. Beaumont Rd., Prairie du Chien.
