WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue Crop Marketing and Farm Finance Workshops, featuring faculty experts from Purdue’s Center for Commercial Agriculture, will take place across the state of Indiana with eight locations beginning February 7, 2019 through March 8, 2019. The first workshop will be held on February 7, 2019 at the Huntington County Fairgrounds, First Merchants Bank Heritage Hall located at 631 East Taylor Street, Huntington, IN 46750 starting at 1 p.m. (EST). Refreshments will be served.
The same workshop will also be offered on February 8, 2019 at the Marshall County Building, at 112 W Jefferson Street, Room 304, Plymouth, IN 46563. The Marshall county workshop includes a continental breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m (EST) with the workshop to follow.
“These workshops are focused on helping farmers improve their profitability in 2019,” said James Mintert, director of Purdue University’s Center for Commercial Agriculture. “The workshops, which will be conducted by James Mintert, Michael Langemeier and Nathan Thompson from the Center for Commercial Agriculture, will provide farmers an opportunity to improve their crop marketing and financial management skill sets.”
There are two sessions at each workshop, one entitled “Improving Your Crop Marketing Skills” and a second session entitled “Preparing to Meet with Your Ag Lender.”
