TOPEKA, Kan. — Registration is open for the first Cowboys for Conservation trail ride near Eureka. Allison Land and Cattle, owned by Kevin and Carrie Allison, is sponsoring and hosting the June 19 event, which will benefit Ranchland Trust of Kansas (RTK). All riders are welcome to bring their own horse to this fun and interactive trail ride. Riders will break into groups and hear from Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) District Conservationist Luke Westerman, NRCS District Wildlife Biologist Vickie Cikanek and grazing management expert Dale Kirkham.
The three-hour trail ride through the Flint Hills is for adult riders 18 years of age and older. Lunch will be provided. The registration fee is $99, which is a tax-deductible donation to RTK. Further details and a link to register can be found here.
