VICTOR, N.Y. — CountryMax Stores, a Western New York family-owned business with 18 retail locations, picked up three prestigious Pinnacle Awards this month at a live event hosted by the Rochester Chapter of the American Marketing Association.

The awards recognized efforts by the CountryMax in-house marketing team to meet customers’ growing appetite for homesteading content. They included:

  • Wild Bird Guide: Print Category Winner This 28-page print piece was filled with information about bird identification, seasonal feeding, squirrel management and more. Designed in-house and printed by EPI Printing of Rochester, the piece was mailed to more than 30,000 homes.
  • Canning Guide: Collateral Category Winner As interest in canning and preserving surged following the pandemic, the CountryMax team created a guide to the products and processes for capturing your backyard harvest.
  • Canning Campaign: Best Integrated Business-to-Consumer Campaign Cateogry Winner Building on the growing interest in canning, CountryMax created a live event, promoted via TV commercials, radio, in-store advertising, email and social media. The event, featuring Paul Guglielmo, owner of the Craft Cannery, was sold out. The replay was viewed hundreds of times. More canning-related activities planned for harvest time, 2022.

All AMA Pinnacle awards are based on results. For CountryMax, those results reflect growing interest in outdoor and homesteading activities, including backyard birding and home canning.

In business for 38 years and continuing to grow, CountryMax Stores can be found across Upstate New York and online at CountryMax.com. With a huge selection of pet foods and toys, wild bird seed and feeders, lawn and garden supplies, even barn and stable products, CountryMax offers everything for the backyard and beyond.
