JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Missouri CornRoots Leadership Academy just wrapped up session two, held in conjunction with MCGA’s annual meeting and legislative day. The session kicked off with participants meeting with Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe (pictured above), Sen. Mike Bernskoetter and Reps. Kurtis Gregory and Rick Francis. They were also briefed with updates from Missouri Department of Agriculture and Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
The second day the group joined with other members to participate in the annual meeting and then made their way over to the capitol where they met with additional legislators on MCGA’s main policy priorities. This year’s program will come to close this July with a trip to Washington, D.C., where they will participate in the National Corn Growers Association Corn Congress and stop by Capitol Hill to visit with elected leaders from states outside the Midwest.
