MADISON — Applications for the 2020 PDPW Cornerstone Dairy Academy™, presented by the Professional Dairy Producers (PDPW), are due on Friday., Jan. 31. Dairy farmers and industry professionals are encouraged to submit applications for this interactive training program, which will be held Mar. 17-18, 2020, starting with registration at 9:00 a.m. at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.
This in-depth professional development training is designed to provide attendees a strong foundation for their personal and professional growth and provide the tools needed to lead with heightened purpose, character and integrity.
The program offers a choice of three comprehensive tracks running concurrently:
- Pillar 1: Influential Leaders will focus on polishing leadership and communications skills by understanding behavior types, communication methods and delivering a great first impression. The training is facilitated by Trevina Broussard of Frontline Success Training and Consulting; Liz Bockman MPH of Everyday Etiquette; and Hank Wagner, dairy farmer and founder of Wagner Leadership Training.
- Pillar 2: Visionary Leaders builds skill sets in decision making and strategic planning, with an emphasis on ethical standards. The training is facilitated by Dr. Richard Kyte, Endowed Professor at Viterbo University, and Dr. David Kohl, Professor Emeritus at Virginia Tech.
- Pillar 3: Servant Leaders will outline the characteristics and best practices to lead with empathy and build positive teams and communities. The training is facilitated by Tom Thibodeau, Distinguished Professor at Viterbo University.
Attendees will put their newly-honed skills to work at the 2020 PDPW Business Conference, on Mar. 18 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis. Alongside their peers, they will engage with key influencers, dairy experts, and explore the best-in-class education, hands-on labs, and keynotes presenting at dairy’s premier educational event.
