JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County Master Gardener Program is sponsoring a free gardening class. “Seed to Supper” is for beginner gardeners on a budget. Basic gardening techniques will be taught.
Items covered in the class will be preparing and checking garden soil, container gardening, planning for gardening space, planting seeds or plants in the ground, and general care of gardens. The class is open to adult participants, with limited seating still available. A small snack will be provided during class time.
Classes are hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension and will take place at the Jamestown Community College, Carnahan Center; 525 Falconer Street, Jamestown. Participants should plan to attend all five classes beginning on Wednesday, May 12th, and every Wednesday until June 9th, from 5:30 to 7:00pm.
