SACKETS HARBOR, N.Y. — There is one chance to harvest the forage that will be a major component of a herd’s feed needs. Finding success during this dynamic process involves mapping out a flexible strategy that considers changing crop and weather conditions. Joe Lawrence from Pro-Dairy will be leading the discussion with topics to include mapping out harvest sequence, dealing with immature forages, strategies for successful ensiling, and dealing with the aftermath of 2019. The workshop runs from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, September 3rd and will take place at Robbins Family Grain and North Harbor Dairy at 14471 County Route 145 Sackets Harbor, NY 13685.
