MADISON — Cooperative Network, the statewide trade association for cooperatives in Wisconsin and Minnesota, is seeking a qualified candidate to assume the duties of President and CEO.
This position, headquartered in either Madison, Wis. or St. Paul, Minn., will direct all activities of the two-state operations. The CEO will develop the framework to plan, direct, coordinate and control the finances, operations and human resources, in accordance with Cooperative Network policies, in order to provide effective leadership, benefits and services to members, while meeting financial and operational goals and objectives.
The CEO’s primary duties include working with all cooperative sectors, membership recruitment, directing the legislative and regulatory agenda in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, and working closely with cooperative directors, managers and employees. This position involves frequent travel, and acting as spokesperson for the association’s cooperative agenda.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree; 10 years of experience in business management, association management, government or cooperative management; thorough knowledge and understanding of the cooperative model and legislative and regulatory process in Wisconsin and Minnesota; excellent leadership and management skills; excellent written and verbal communications skills; and a dedicated work ethic with personal and professional integrity.
