Are you interested in improving conservation measures on your farm? Planning, establishing and funding on-farm conservation practices are top priorities for many local farmers. Through this workshop, participants will learn about many conservation practices and how local organizations can assist in on-farm implementation.

PITTSBORO, N.C. — Are you interested in improving conservation measures on your farm? Planning, establishing and funding on-farm conservation practices are top priorities for many local farmers. Through this workshop, participants will learn about many conservation practices and how local organizations can assist in on-farm implementation.

This workshop is being conducted in cooperation between CFSA, NC Cooperative Extension, Natural Resources Conservation Service and New Hanover County SWCD. The event has been approved for 2 pesticide credits of X, N, O, D.

Topics include: high tunnels, cover crops, soil health, and pollinator habitats

DATE: Wednesday, Dec. 4

TIME: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

SPEAKERS: Gena Moore, CFSA; Mark Dempsey, CFSA; Lloyd Singleton, Cooperative Extension; Dru Harrison, New Hanover County SWCD; Joshua Davis, NRCS
