WALPOLE, N.H. — Come venture out into the field to see farm equipment in action! Join the Cheshire County Conservation District, Natural Resources Conservation Service, UNH Cooperative Extension, and UVM Extension on April 17, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Cheshire County Farm on River Road in Westmoreland, NH.
We will be joined by Agronomy Specialist Jeff Carter of the University of Vermont Extension. Jeff will walk attendees through an overview of the CCCD’s no-till drill and share with participants how to ensure it is adjusted and calibrated for a successful seeding. We will also be looking at and answering questions on the other soil health equipment available for rent through the Conservation District. A USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service representative will also be available to answer your questions about potential cost share programs that may fit into your conservation goals.
Bring your questions and come on down for a cup of coffee and donut while checking out the ZRX No-till Corn Planter with roller crimpers, No-till Seed Drill, Woodash/Lime Spreader, Aerway Aerator, and Roller Crimper. Plan on joining us in the equipment shed at the County Farm. Parking will be located near the old jail on River Road, marked by signs for your convenience. Please be aware and cautious of ongoing demolition at the old jail. Please call the Conservation District office at 603-756-2988 ext. 116 or email: Amanda@cheshireconservation.

The Cheshire County Conservation District promotes the conservation and responsible use of our natural and agricultural resources for the people of Cheshire County by providing technical, financial, and educational assistance. Our goal is to encourage the stewardship of healthy soils, productive ecologically sound farms, diverse wildlife, productive sustainable forests, healthy watersheds, and clean water to ensure those resources are available for future generations. Established in 1945, the Conservation District operates out of Walpole, NH where we work alongside the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and other conservation partners.
