CONCORD, N.H. — It may be snowy white outside, but the Merrimack County Conservation District is thinking green with its annual Tree and Shrub Seedling Sale. This year’s sale features a variety of trees and shrubs to fit all kinds of landscaping needs along with perennials, spring bulbs, composters, rain barrels, bat houses, and other conservation needs.
Many of the plant species are ideal for pollinators and wildlife habitat, windscreens, shade, or privacy. There are 68 different varieties offered including Christmas trees seedlings, fruit trees, ground cover, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
People interested in ordering can visit the district’s website at www.merrimackccd.org for an order form or call 223-6020 to have one mailed to you. Priority orders are due by March 21, and the plants will be available for pickup April 28th and 29th at Carter Hill Orchards in Concord or May 6th at the farmers’ market at the Blazing Star Grange in Danbury. Help support your local conservation district while helping wildlife, pollinators, or feeding your family with these plants.
