LEWIS CO., N.Y. — Teachers, this is an exciting opportunity for your students to connect to Lewis County Agriculture by having the ability to taste our local foods and see local agriculture without even leaving your classroom, at no cost for your school.
Lewis County Cornell Cooperative Extension wants to bring awareness of our most popular local commodities made here in Lewis County, during the week of October 18th each day. A 3–5-minute film will be released that focuses on a specific product and the production behind it. On Friday the 22nd, a virtual farm tour will be held on zoom where students will be able to ride on a forage harvester with a farmer and ask questions! The first 100 classrooms to register will receive a Box of Lewis County for each day of the expo that will include a taste of your favorite local products!   Make sure to register by September 29th to be included in all the uniqueness of Lewis County!
