COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Corn Executive Coordinator Ann Cross — who also serves as Colorado’s state facilitator for CommonGround — along with fellow CommonGround volunteers attended the Southern Colorado Sustainability and Outdoor Living Expo last weekend, where they had their booth set up and engaged in conversations with attendees about food production and agriculture.
The other CommonGround volunteers in attendance were Jan Kochis, Colleen Peppler, Sondra Pierce, Kelsey Pope (pictured above, on the left) and Kristen Schneider (pictured above, on the right).
CommonGround was founded by the National Corn Growers Association, the United Soybean Board and their state affiliates to start conversations about food between the women who grow it and women who buy it. Women who volunteer for CommonGround share personal experiences, as well as science and research, to help consumers sort through the misinformation surrounding food and farming.
