LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Two of the three finalists for Greenhouse Grower’s Operation of the Year are CNGA members. Welby Gardens is being considered in the Excellence in Education category and Willoway Nurseries (pictured) for Excellence in Management.

Welby gives its growers opportunities to further their education at regional and national conferences and any other education seminars they want to pursue. The company strives to employ college-educated growers who understand the importance of continued education and learning.

Willoway thrives on its open-book management approach, specifically its adherence to the “Great Game of Business” (GGOB) program. GGOB focuses on three areas of running a successful business: communications, understanding the “why”, and building a team culture. These foundational pillars support day-to-day operations.

Good luck to both companies!
