ST. JOSEPH, Minn. — If you are an apple grower, prospective cider apple grower or hard cider maker, join University of Minnesota Fruit specialists for a field day at Milk and Honey Ciders on Friday, July 9 from 1:00-4:00 PM.
These experienced cider growers will highlight cider apple variety selection in Minnesota, and best practices for orchard management. Attendees can also taste and compare individual varietal ciders made with 12 different Minnesota apple varieties, from the UMN Enology Program.
Please register in advance at: https://z.umn.edu/2021AppleCiderTour. We will prepare handout materials, cider sample cups, and refreshments for each person in attendance. The event is free thanks to a Specialty Crop Block Grant through MDA and USDA.
