WATERLOO, Iowa — Black Hawk County Extension and Outreach will offer the Commercial Ag Weed, Insect and Plant Disease Management Continuing Instructional Course (CIC) for commercial pesticide applicators Wednesday, February 12th, 2020. The program will be shown at locations across Iowa through the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education (PSEP) Program.
The local attendance site is 3420 University Avenue, in Waterloo. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The course runs from 9 to 11:45 a.m. The registration fee is $35 on or before February 5th and $45 after. The course will provide continuing instructional credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in categories 1A, 1B, 1C and 10. Topics to be covered include equipment calibration and safe application techniques, pest drift reduction, pest management and pesticides, and phytotoxicity.
Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in Pest Management will be offered at this program. Any interested participant should bring his or her CCA number for the CEU sign-in sheets.
