WEBB CITY, Mo. — Farmers and ranchers interested in exploring online sales can shorten their learning curve by joining this free webinar set on Monday, June 15, at 3 pm. With each using a different online platform, four top Missouri farmers already experienced in selling online will share practical and accessible information on choosing a platform and selling online. A handout will compile the pros and cons and farmer tips, which will then be shared with all registered participants via e-mail after the presentation and will also be available by mail.
Presenters include specialty crops farmers Curtis Millsap of Millsap Farms in Springfield, Karen Scott of OakWoods Farm in Granby, Liz Graznak of Happy Hollow Farm in Jamestown, and ranchers Greg and Nancy Rasmussen of Sunny Lane Farm in Lockwood.
The four farmers/ranchers will also each be available for one-on-one mentoring by other farmers needing more information about online selling on a first-come-first-served basis until their allotted time is expended.
While the workshop is free, registration is required no later than noon on June 15. For more information and to register, go to:
This workshop is a collaboration of the Webb City Farmers Market and University of Missouri Extension. It is underwritten by the USDA Sustainable Agriculture, Research and Education.
