ITHACA, N.Y. — Electronic Grower Resources Online (e-GRO) Alert is celebrating completing its 10th year in 2021. e-GRO is a collaborative effort of greenhouse and floriculture specialists to create an educational clearing house for information about disease, insect, environmental, physiological and nutritional disorders being observed in commercial greenhouses, as well other relevant information. Current contributors are from Cornell Cooperative Extension, Cornell University, Michigan State University, North Carolina State University, Ohio State University, Penn State Extension, Purdue University, University of Arkansas, University of Connecticut, University of Georgia, University of Kentucky, and University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Over the past 10 years, there have been 364 in-depth articles or “Alerts” that bring attention to plant production issues that the e-GRO team is seeing in greenhouses across the county. Alerts are sent weekly during the peak production season and are also posted online at http://www.e-gro.org/. Learn more about e-GRO’s first 10 years and what resources are available in addition to the newsletter by visiting http://www.e-gro.org/pdf/2022-11-01.pdf.
