LEBANON, Tenn. — Junior Angus exhibitors led 448 entries at the 2020 Eastern Regional Junior Angus Show, June 26-28 in Lebanon, Tenn. Mark Hoge, Macomb, Ill., evaluated the 278 owned females, 104 bred-and-owned females, 26 bred-and-owned bulls, 29 steers, and 11 cow-calf pairs before choosing winners.
Hill Valley Reckoning 931 claimed grand champion bred-and-owned bull honors after first claiming intermediate champion. Samuel Henderson, East Troy, Wis., owns the May 2019 son of Young Dale Believe 46B.
Kolton Grim, Thomasville, Pa., led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Beaver Creek Prestige 975 is a March 2019 son of Colburn Primo 5153. He first won junior champion.
Maplecrest Phyllis 9043 was named grand champion owned female. Sydney Sanders, Leesburg, Ohio, owns the February 2019 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. She first won early junior champion.
Snyders CCW Proven Queen 214 earned reserve grand champion owned female honors after first winning reserve early junior champion. Madison Stratton, Appomattox, Va., owns the February 2019 daughter of Colburn Primo 5153.
Amelia Miller, Gridley, Ill., led the grand champion bred-and-owned female. PVF Proven Queen 9119 is a March 2019 daughter of PVF Blacklist 7077. She first won junior champion.
AED Rita 821F was named reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female after first winning senior champion. Allison Davis, Shelbyville, Tenn., owns the November 2018 daughter of PVF Insight 0129.
Jace Pipkin, Republic, Mo., exhibited the grand champion cow-calf pair. Cherry Knoll Lady 1835 is an April 2018 daughter of PVF Insight 0129. Her calf is a February 2020 son sired by Colburn Primo 5153.
Addison White, Lexington, Ky., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Seldom Rest Sandy 8033 is a February 2018 daughter of EXAR Classen 1422B. Her calf is a December 2019 heifer sired by Stevenson Turning Point.
Catherine Cowles, Rockfield, Ky., led the grand champion steer. HAF Drake is a January 2019 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
Greyson Peeler, Lawndale, N.C., owns the reserve grand champion steer. BFR Primo 1910 is an April 2019 son of Colburn Primo 5153.
