CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Colorado Farm Bureau sent a letter on Monday to The Honorable Chuck Grassley, Chairman, and The Honorable Dianne Feinstein, Ranking Member, of the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary, urging the confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch as Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
“I strongly support the nomination and timely confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch as Justice of the United States Supreme Court,” wrote Don Shawcroft, Colorado Farm Bureau President, in the letter.
Gorsuch currently serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit as a federal appellate judge. He is a fourth-generation Colorado native, and was born in Denver. He currently resides in Boulder with his family, is an outdoorsman, and also raises some livestock.
“As a Colorado native, Judge Gorsuch understands the American west, its unique character and issues of importance. We are excited about the potential to have a Coloradan on the Supreme Court.
“Judge Gorsuch understands the needs of Colorado farmers and ranchers. He has experience with agriculture and with natural resources, and that will be a big benefit to all people in agriculture. I strongly urge the Senate to confirm Judge Gorsuch as Supreme Court Justice in a timely manner,” said Shawcroft.
