CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Last week, CFB, in partnership with the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, gathered local community leaders and key stakeholders from around the Denver metro area to discuss the importance of NAFTA and trade to the agriculture community.
Derek Gianino of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce presented to a full room about what it means to modernize NAFTA and the impact that it has on agriculture and other industries reliant on trade–“Do no harm” was a common theme for many in the room.
You can view Derek’s presentation here.
Those sitting at the table included representatives from both the Mexican and Canadian Consulates; staff representing various state and congressional members; members of the South Metro Denver Chamber; leaders from the corn, cattle and meat industry; local mayors and many more.
CFB’s Shawn Martini, vice president of advocacy, moderated the discussion and represented our members’ views as the need for good trade policies remains essential for agriculture producers.
