MANCHESTER, LE MARS and IOWA FALLS, Iowa — Several Iowa counties will offer the Certified Handlers Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) Wednesday, March 11, 2020. The program will be shown across Iowa through the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP).
The local attendance site for Delaware County is 1417 North Franklin Street, Manchester. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the course will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. The registration fee is $35. The local attendance site for Plymouth County is the Le Mars Convention Center. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the course will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. The registration fee is $35 on or before March 4 and $45 after March 4. To register or obtain additional information about the CIC, contact Jill Leners at the ISU Extension and Outreach office in Plymouth County by calling 546-7835 or emailing jleners@iastate.edu.
The local attendance site for Hardin County is the Hardin County Extension Office at 524 Lawler Street in Iowa Falls. Registration begins at 8:30 AM, and the course will be held from 9 to 11 AM. The registration fee is $35 on or before March 4 and $45 after March 4. To register or obtain additional information about the CIC, contact Bobbi Finarty at the ISU Extension and Outreach office in Hardin County by calling (641) 648-4850.
The course will provide continuing instruction credit for certified handlers. Topics to be covered include safe handling and storage, personal protective equipment, laws and regulations, and secondary containment requirements.
