BRIGHTON, Colo. — As it’s done in recent years, the Colorado Department of Agriculture spent August spearheading Colorado Proud Month events and celebrations.
The Department of Agriculture uses the month as a time to draw attention to foods and agricultural products that are grown, raised or processed in Colorado, while also stressing the all-around importance of the state’s agriculture industry through social media, in-store materials and at community events.
The Colorado Egg Producers (CEP) Association joined in the efforts, using their own outreach platforms to remind Coloradans that, among other fun facts, more than 80 percent of eggs purchased at the state’s grocery stores come from local, “Colorado-proud” farmers.
