LOYAL, Wis. — Central Wisconsin Forage Council has set Thursday, March 15, 2018 as the date for their spring forage day. The event will be held at Malm’s Rolling Acres (W4234 153 Road, Loyal). Events planned for the day include a tour of Malm’s Robot Mixer/Feeder (10:00 a.m.). Following the tour the group will travel to Loyal City Hall (301 N Main Street) for lunch and the afternoon meeting. Topics will include:
- Q & A from robot manufacturer
- Fermentation impact in starch digestion in dairy ration (Bernie Ford – Purina Mills)
- Recycling Ag Plastics (Price Murphy – Revolution Plastics representative)
- Farming in Difficult Times (Melissa Kono, CNRED Agent – Clark County UW-Extension)
- Midwest Forage Association representative will also be present
Cost for the event and lunch is $5.00 per person (balance of lunch will be covered by CWFC). Pre-registration is required – please contact the Clark County UW-Extension, at 715-743-5121 by March 9. CEU’s will be available.
