BARTOW, Fla. — Join us for a regional agritourism conference September 26-27, 2017 featuring informational presentations and farm tours! The conference will be held at the UF/IFAS Polk County Extension Service Offices, 1702 Hwy 17 S., Bartow, FL 33831-9005.
Farmers considering or already pursuing agritourism, policy-makers, and businesses interested in developing cooperative efforts with agritourism operators will find this conference especially useful. The current status of agritourism in Central Florida, marketing strategies, and research results will be discussed. Experts will speak on a variety of topics important to agritourism efforts. Three farm tours are planned to see the benefits of agritourism in action.
Carmen Snyder from Sonoma County, California will be in attendance to discuss the inner workings of Sonoma County Farm Trails, a 40+-year old nonprofit that advocates and markets for local agricultural businesses.
